read the description of each workshops carefully in the following pages and
then fill in your first and second choices on the
Workshop Registration Form.
Please keep a copy and send this form when you send in your Conference Registration Form.
Workshop Tool Lists On receipt of your registration form you will be sent a list of the tools, materials etc. that are required for your workshops. If you are travelling and require a marble tooling surface, skiving glass, stitching clamp or any other heavy equipment or tools, please notify Cherryl so that these can be made available for you to use during the workshops.
Cancellation The organisers reserve the right to cancel a workshop due to unforeseen circumstances. You will then be transferred to your second workshop choice. You will be notified immediately should this occur.

LEATHER FLOWERS
1-DAY WORKSHOP - MATERIAL COST $ 45.00
CHERRYL Mc INTYRE (AUSTRALIA)
No previous experience is required to enjoy this workshop. Learn how to make beautiful moulded leather flowers and leaves from Australian veg tanned Kangaroo leather. You will learn the basic techniques on cutting, colouring, shaping, moulding and much more. The workshop will progress in an easy-to-follow step by step manner. You will make at least 3 - 4 flower’s together with leaves which will be enhanced with ribbon, cords, pearls, wire, beads and crystals...these items can be used as a brooch, corsage or to decorate a hat. Leather flowers can also be used to make jewellery, decorate boxes, shoes, bags, picture frames and mirrors etc.

1-DAY WORKSHOP - MATERIAL COST $ 45.00
CHERRYL Mc INTYRE (AUSTRALIA)
This is a fun workshop for the beginner to advanced student. The workshop will cover the construction of a leather brooch, earrings, flower ring, and leather hair clip. You will make at least two to three beautiful projects, using a variety of different leather and techniques. Construction of all items will be covered during the workshop. You will learn how to blend leather cords, threads, feathers and beads to create the brooch. The leather earrings and flower ring are made from vegetable tanned leather. Hair clip is made from chrome tanned coloured leathers. These items are guaranteed to create the ‘wow’ factor!
LEATHER HANDBAG
2-DAY WORKSHOP - MATERIAL COST $ 75.00
CHERRYL Mc INTYRE (AUSTRALIA)
This is a great introduction on how to make your own fashion designer handbags for the beginner and advanced student, the workshop is designed to show you how to change a basic pattern to create different designs. Each technique learned can then be applied to a number of different styles of bags, so that you can achieve the effect and functionality you want with your own handbag patterns and designs.
The workshop will cover, pattern layout, cutting the leather, preparing the leather, exterior and interior pockets, zippered closure, how to work through problems and much more. The bag shown is fully lined with two interior pockets and an exterior zippered pocket. Pattern supplied as well as other ideas for this style of bag. Basic bag colour is black, contrast leathers will be supplied for your selection. Sewing machines will be supplied for your use.
Please note: you must be able to use a domestic sewing machine and sew straight seams.


EVENING BAGS
2-DAY WORKSHOP - MATERIAL COST $ 75.00
FAY HOLDEN (AUSTRALIA)
You will learn how to make two beautiful Leather evening bags made from soft chrome tanned leathers. The bags are lined with internal pockets. If you can sew fabric, you can sew leather. This is a great introduction on how to make your own fashion designer handbags, for the beginner and advanced student.
The workshop is designed to show you how to change a basic pattern to create different designs. The workshop will cover pattern layout, cutting the leather, preparing the leather, interior pockets, how to work through problems. Sewing machines will be supplied for your use.
Please note: you must be able to use a domestic sewing machine and sew straight seams.
