FINESSING THE ROSE

Roses - Peter Main

ONE DAY WORKSHOP (MONDAY).

MATERIAL COST $20.00

By attending this workshop you will understand the important steps in the correct sequence required to create a beautiful rose.

Learn to tool and define the detail in the sometimes confusing centre, shade and lift the petals for a realistic effect. We shall also master 'leaves', run a pointed beveler, carve them both in a traditional and inverted style.

The modeller is the most important tool to learn how to use here for final definition. Roses are a delicate flower and it is so easy to flatten the petals if you do not understand how to tool and model each petal.

Learning all these basics will enable you to create a rose of any shape and size. This is a fun workshop with many techniques to learn to apply to other designs as well.
