12 STRAND PLAITED WHIP
6-DAY WORKSHOP - MATERIAL COST $ 140.00
BILL GLASGOW (AUSTRALIA)
For centuries, the tool of trade for Australian stockmen has been a good whip. It has been suggested that the stock whip has evolved from the English hunting whip, but has developed into a form that is unique to Australia Kangaroo hide whips are made entirely of kangaroo hide, unlike most other whips from the core right through to the overlay, to give a dense thong with good weight and balance but not too much bulk. Kangaroo hide is considered the strongest hide for its light weight. They make perfectly balanced stock whips.
