The Leathercrafters Association of Queensland Inc. was formed in 1985 by a group of enthusiasts with a desire to share and expand their knowledge.

2025 marks a special year for Dimensions in Leather, celebrating this “Fifteenth” Conference since 1994.

The first event in 1994, was an overwhelming success and has led to other events being presented over many years.

The Leathercrafters Association focuses on giving back to their members and the leather craft community. The conference is a work in progress and continues to grow. Our vision is to unite all leather artisans, and to foster the mastery of the craft through this unique learning experience.

The Leathercrafters Association of Queensland Inc is now in its 39th year and is dedicated to the development of leather craft/art to encourage the highest standards, and to the promotion of and advancement of leather in its many forms.

The Association is committed to increasing the public profile of leather by presenting the “Dimensions in Leather Conference” bringing together talented International and Australian tutors willing to share their techniques and skills.

Leather is one of the most interesting materials. Its beauty, feel and character are unique, and no man-made substance has the qualities of leather.
