About us

The Leathercrafters Association of Queensland Inc, was founded in Brisbane Australia in1985 by a group of enthusiasts, with the desire to learn all facets of working with leather.

The Association is dedicated to the development of its present and future members to encourage the highest standards and to promote and advance leather craft/ art in its many forms.

Today, the Association is an International organisation with members worldwide.

The Leathercrafters Association of Queensland Inc. hosts the Australian International "Dimensions in Leather Conferences" where tutors and attendees share their knowledge, new techniques and ideas.

The first Conference held in 1994 was an overwhelming success, which has lead to further successful conferences in 1998, 2000, 2001, 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2009.

The Conference, which will be conducted over six days, provides attendees the opportunity to participate in a wide range of "hand-on workshops" that are suitable for both beginners and advanced students.
